December, virtually no healing, put in black Ortho boot and told to sleep in it.

I am over 50 in good health, slim build.

Walking on a broken ankle too early can prevent it from healing correctly and may make your injury worse.

If your foot begins to hurt, stop and rest.

Gently move your toes and bend your knee regularly to prevent your muscles from getting stiff.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Good luck and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Had the scans done in Dec and saw ortho and was immediately told to put boot on and raise the foot and rest as much as possible.
